MBMK Leadership Camp

For some reason ,I neglected blogging for a while because I lack what to write.But just a few days ago ,I had a terrific weekend that seems worth writing. So here goes :

Karling invited me to attend a Kursus Kepimpinan Majlis Belia Malaysia Kedah . I was scared of course,to attend something I know nothing of ,also being the youngest. I felt like it was 'too adultish' for a kid like me to attend. But after her assurance and the fact that she's going too as a participant,I muster all courage and agreed.

The campsite was in deep in Jitra so it was definitely a different environment for me .When we reached there,we registered and went to their canteen where they served evening tea.Because the participants could not arrive on time ,the  first session started after dinner.

The lecturer did a good job on explaining Kedah's latest development and answering the thoughts on people's mind.I was impressed when he said that the students will have free access to online websites to learn and answer sample questions given. Education is important ,and what makes us go further.So I was pleased.After a late night supper,it was off to bed.

The second day was definetely awesome.After an extremely funny warm up session,we were divided into groups of four to complete an explorace. There were four stations and I loved ALL OF IT .The first was that each group member must spontaneously create a sentence that ends up a story .We laughed like crazy because the story made absolutely no sense ! But hey,thats the point right? Annnnnd,we passed!

Second was completing an obstacle course.Y'know, running through tires,crawl through small tunnels,balance againts thin rod.Apart from my shoe getting stuck from the tire,it was fun !Third was sing a song with your own lyrics which we aced and succeed in a nick of time ! And lastly was reciting a long list . The faci's told that we were 'kumpulan elit' because we have really cooperative members and great showmanship .

Our last two activity was water confidence.I was pretty excited cuz i've never done it before.You have to cross the lake by holding on to a long rope and slowly work your way to the other side.I was okay at first but halfway,my body lost balance and I started to drift away f
rom the rope.I screamed of course ,but my members behind of me told me to relax and do not let go of the rope.Legs up,and tug hand by hand.Eventually I pulled myself together and reached the shore. What a 20 second drama haha.

After that was perahu-ing ! We had to sit in a raft made of wood and tong.This too was a first for me,I've only seen my dad do this when I was a kid .It was funny,everyone was so competitive but we reached ashore !!

Too bad Karling and I had to leave early due to our own reasons.After packing up,we said goodbye to everyone and left.

I admit,I  felt intimidated by everyone,being so amazing in their careers and involved with charity works and all,I felt so small .But everyone was more than happy to help me out and I really felt safe. This is a stepping stone for me to be involved in something more 'adultish' hehe. Thank you for the great event everyone !
